Watch it by yourself, in the dark, with no interruptions adn it's the scariest movie I've ever seen!!!
And here's a tip to make viewing it even better...
Run it though your stereo surround sound and hit mute on your TV so the closed caption comes on. REALLY helps you pick up stuff that's very easy to miss. Take special notice of when the children are supposedly outside the tents messing with the carachters...You can READ what they're saying when you can't really hear them.
Lots of other examples too.

I thought this movie was pretty good. One of the better horror movies made in the 1990's. It didn't really scare me that much. Maybe it would have had the story really been true. I would give it 3 out of 4 stars.

I love that movie! It's a great concept! I'll have to try the closed caption thing!

people either love this movie or hate this movie, this movie was nothing short of amazing. these actors had no script whatsoever so it was pretty much improvised. they were told the basic concept but pretty much everything was just about real, except ofcourse for all the supernatural things that occured. and the ending was a real gut-twister. weither you liked the movie or not it is most certainly one of a kind. one thing i thought was really weird though was the actors were told not to be interviews , talk shows and stuff because they wanted the "true story autheticity", which i thought was stupid because its not a true story. just a really scary movie because it doesnt matter if its true or not, its just that you can imagine something like this actually happening somewhere.

BWP started it all for me. After watching that movie on DVD I started scouring the internet for haunted locations.

Indeed, a very good movie. The one thing that bothers me about the movie is how people claim it's such an original concept, when it's really not. The whole concept about a group of people doing a documentary get lost in a mysterious and unexplored dense forest, are never heard from again, and their footage is recovered years later is obviously a rip off the controversial "Cannibal Holocaust" movie released in 1980.
I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THOSE WHO LIKED TBWP TO SEEK OUT THIS MOVIE, IT'S MUCH MORE INTENSE THEN TBWP AND I DEFINITELY DON'T SUGGEST IT TO THOSE WITH WEAK STOMACHS OR CONSCIOUSES. To give you an idea about how extreme this film is, with it's original debut in Europe it was immediately confiscated by the authorities and the director was arrested and charged with making a snuff film due to the gruesome deaths. They actually had to reproduce all of the special effects used in the death scene in the court room before the charges were dropped. Although 7 animals were legitimately killed in the making of the movie, with 6 of the deaths appearing in the movie. The film is still banned within many countries all over the world.

Wow, I went kinda overboard in that last post. But I felt bad because I told my friend about it, saying it's where the director from TBWP got a lot of influence, and he made the mistake of letting his 10 year old brother watch it. Now he's pretty freaked out, and I feel bad.
It's really not that great of a movie in my opinion, but if you want extreme violence then this would probably be up your alley.

Stormblast. Seems like an intense movie. I am assuming you've seen it.. yes? Is it actually worth watching? Does it have a good plot..? From your post it seems like it would be nice on a rainy night.. like tonight..

Yeah I've seen it, and I wasn't that impressed. The plot has the potential to be good, but it has a lot sub-par acting which doesn't compliment it very well. I also think the 6 animal deaths in the movie is a bit too much and even the director says now in retrospect he wish he wouldn't have done it. Here's the wikipedia article about it if you want to learn more. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannibal_HolocaustHonestly the controversy surrounding the movie and the various interpretations of it are more interesting than the movie itself.
