Central state has got to be one of the most haunted places I have been. I have seen and heard things in the Evans, Bahr, Bolton, Admin building and the tunnels. I have heard moans, crazy laughing, whispers, doors closing and opening and screams! It is a very scary place to go!

Battle Ground In Lafayette In to me ..been there many times and the first was the scarest and the other times . Things didnt change much after that, there are parts on the path that I still just feel like crying. Many cold spots even when it is 90 degrees outside. I feel like I need to go there but, I really don't. In doing reseach I found out that there is a old cematery on the way to fight that the people walked. It is to be said that on the 10 th of Dec in the morning if you follow that path you can hear men marching, singing.I went there last year and it was scary,it was foggy and cold and the snow was blowning and at times it looked like people where there.took alot of pic but only got weird snow...no proof... but i tried

From personal experience I would have to say I've had unusual experiences at the Hanthingy County Prosecutor's office which is the old jail located right next to the courthouse. It had a tunnel that connected it to the courthouse so they could transport prisoners underground. That has been sealed off but is still visible and partly accessible. There also is a old set of cells that were exclusively for women prisoners still located on the second floor and it has a very odd feel to it. One night when I was working late and alone in the building, I was working on the phone board which is located in the basement. At the time the old cell blocks were still directly overhead. Around midnight I could clearly hear footsteps above me and yelled up the stairs to see if anyone was up ther? I got no reply! Luckily for me there was an alternate exit and I utilized it. The other location I've had an experience at is the old mental hospital in New Castle. I was in the basement there working on the phone system when I heard the unmistakable sound of a chair being drug across the concrete floor. When I turned to look at the chair in question, it was still in the same spot. I asked one of the officers about that and he told me that the noise was one of many unexplained incidents that occur there. Let me warn anyone interested, the used portion of the old hospital is an alternative school and probation department run by the Hennry County Community Corrections dept and the whole area is patrolled heavily by armed security in lieu to the recent distubances at the prison across the yard so trespassing should not be an option unless you like incarceration.

i grew up (got Bigger, still havent grown up) in NW Indiana. I've been to every so called haunted area / house in the region from lake county down to Indy. I had my buddies drop me off at the sand dune on stagecoach road at midnight during the winter, by myself to snowboard while they went to my ex-girlfriends party. i had a 6pack of mickeys and some weed. i snowboarded and explored. i was young stupid punk. no signs of ghost or any myths. the most dangerous thing out there was me. i've hit up the dewey house in valpo, and the old abanded houses at the end of rollercoaster rd. (are they still there?), i've hit up the graveyards, the wolf house, and searched for diana of the dunes. i've been all around the world many times, i've lived in the 4 corner's of the united states, and i have to say that NW IN. is definately the eariest place i've ever been, with the Pacific NW behind that, and Salem, MA. 3rd. but with all the crazy nuts and myths the only real proof i've seen was in plymouth, In. At a certain time at night, during this certain time of year, when you drive down this certain road you can see a hung Klan's member dangling under the street light. I've been in combat oversea's, storms out at sea, and minor disasters in the states, nothing has frightened me the way that did. I haven't been back to Indiana in years, i don't remeber the name of the road but if somebody does, hit me back.-22

I'm from NW Indiana and I'm gonna have to say Gypsies Cemetery in Crown Point and Brunswick Cemetery in Cedar Lake. In Gypsies I've heard footsteps follow me, but stopped at the gate, and Brunswick I've heard children laughing. Never been back to Brunswick just cuz I've had bad feelings and Gypsies I'll go back anytime!!!!!!
