I thought I'd look it up on Google earth to not get lost on the way there but don't really see it, only water looks like a ditch on the side of the road for crops?
I'm at 40*59'30.40" N and 86*48'52.71" W
Anyone have different coordinates?

I think there's only one bridge left at dogface now, I remember someone saying that the second was torn down, but you can still see that there definitely used to be the bridge there. The bridge really isn't important anyway, it's the area between the two bridges that you should be concerned about.

The ditch is where they channelled out the Kankakee River to prevent flooding and for travel. Google Earth has it landmarked now. The road to the bridge is not marked other than with a "Bridge Out" sign. Nobody has answered the question yet "What if you come at it from the north?". I'de like to know! The coordinates I got are 41"14'54 and 86"54'35

By the way...Dog Faced Bridge has been voted Indiana's most haunted place in a poll conducted by Indiana ghost heavies. I, myself, like (still) Okie-Pinoke, Stepp, Bobtown, Story House and North Manchester (coming soon!)

Wow, I can't believe I never gave coming at it from the north a thought before. I'm guessing you wouldn't be able to make it across due to the second bridge, or first in this case, being pretty much non-existent.
How many times have you been out to Okie-Pinoke and gotten results. I heard that place was a bust the majority of the time.

I grew up near Okie Pinoke and I have seen some weird things. One curious episode: A friend and I were cruising a little east of OP and we saw this couple at a house getting a baby out of a car with stuff piled on top of it. About a ½ mile down the road we saw this golden colored boxer in the ditch just glaring at us as we passed. About 15 minutes later we saw this couple, getting a baby out of their car that had stuff piled on top of it About a ½ mile down the road there was this other golden boxer, in the ditch just glaring at us. My friend, who knows about my ghost and other weird stuff that happens around me looked at me and said "cut it out" . I swear, on my mothers grave, this is a true story. We didn't turn, we didn't accidentally go around the block, these were at two different locations.I know more about OP but I don't know if I am willing to share or if anybody would believe me anyway. Nobody has so far except for those that are close to me.

I'm willing to listen if you're willing to share. Even if you don't want to, would you say it's worth the drive from Southern Indiana to check out?

No, not worth a drive...a LONG drive. It seems that nobody ever finds anything out there. Of course, most of them do a once over then split. I lived near there for 30 years. I majored in the resevoirs in high school, heh. I am thinking about putting it in a book, I honestly believe I know who stephanie is.

Well I always had planned on coming up for a weekend or something and checking out the sites I've heard about around that area, so it's possible I could check it out a couple times if the first visit doesn't produce any results.
Wow, I always assumed that the Stephanie that's referred to in the story died a long while ago, like a century at least or something. She was rather young when she died, if I remember correctly, so you knew her from elementary school or something? Do you know if that thing where you whistle or call her name and she'll respond back is true or not? I believe I remember Nate saying it worked for him.

I've heard the whistle works, I don't know why or who. I can't remember if Nate tried it. I DO know there is an Indian mentioned in some of the posts and I do remember there is an BIG indian that fishes there at Mississinewa a lot. I've seen him several times. He is a sour puss and my brother almost got into a fight with him. He may be the reason behind the Indian sightings, he might be the one whistling back, I don't know. How I know Stephanie is a loooong story. Briefly...i met her visiting relatives in New Waverly.

Yeah I kinda always had the suspicion that the whistle could just be a fishermen, camper, or whoever else in the woods responding back to mess with people, because you're probably familiar with the stories if you're out there. I remember someone else saying something about an unfriendly native american that you don't want to run into when you're in the area.
Why are you so certain the Stephanie you met is the same girl whose spirit roams OP?

Dogface bridge is still there...but only one of the bridges you can walk on (the first one) you can walk to the second bridge (the path forks off at the second bridge and you DO NOT WANT TO TAKE THE PATH LEFT!!!!) If you want to see the remains of the second bridge just keep walking straight....it will be right in front of you.
But yeah....what's more intersting is what goes on inbetween the two bridges......I've seen and heard A LOT of scary nuts out there.....so DO NOT GO ALONE!
Okie Pinokie is one that I have been wanting to do forever. But I just can't get enough people interested in going (to help with gas and driving and all that jazz).

It would still be a bit interesting to check out 2nd bridge at Dogface from the otherside, and see if there is anything else there.
I can definitely get one person to go with me, and possibly another if you're interested in meeting up there one day zeros. My friend and I are really anxious to check OP and Dogface out sometime in the near future.

That would be pretty cool.
I'm thinking about taking a trip down to Southern Indiana sometime next year (I need to save up the money and I need to be at this job for a while before I start asking for long periods of time off), but that would be cool to meet up there. I am making a list of all the places I've wanted to investigate down there and OP is at the top of the list.
And if you guys want to come out to dogface anytime soon, let me know. I'd like to come with you guys. I have not been out there since that thing ran from us, and I'm curious as to see if it will come out again, and I'd like to stay here for a little longer then 30 minutes (It's an hour and 10 trip for me and everytime we would go we would drive out that way...be there for half an hour and go back....I want to stay for longer if I'm going to drive out there).
And maybe if you guys are up to it I could take you out to gypsies graveyard. I would say that is about half an hour from dogface, but it is another pretty good one.

If you share the list with me before your trip I could probably get directions for most of the locations. I think OP is considered North East Indiana as opposed to Southern Indiana, it's about a 3 hour drive for me.
Awesome, we could definitely use a guide at Dogface, especially one that has had the results you've had. My friend might not last that long, but I'll stay with you if you want to do a longer investigation.
Sure, if we drive all the way up there we'd like to see more than just Dogface, and I've heard Gypsies Graveyard is pretty good. How far away is Little Egypt/Troll Bridge from there? I've heard a lot of stories about that place, and I'd like to see for myself if that place is worth the hype.
