first--If we get lost do you know of a way for us to get unlost? ;D
second-- are all of the gates supposed to be haunted? (think you said you found 18.)
third--when would be the best time to go to them?
fourth--were any of the ones you saw torn down?( just wondering)
and last--has anyone ever actually died from the legend coming true? (I'm a little worried about that one)

to anwswer your questions,

1- my best advice is to use google earth and map out the area of the train track you can see all the"gates" hint, 3 gates are to the left of the highway the rest are to the right of the high way.

2- the first gate is the only one with a local haunting to it. but all of the research ive done there was never a train derailment in the area.

3- since its so close to halloween, i would go on a week night when there wont be as many spook watchers out hoping to catch a glimpse of something.
or if you go on a weekend night wait till 2am ish or later when most teens arent out any more.

4- no we drove through all of the tunnels

5- no one that i know of has died. my name is written on the first gate and it has been there for about 3 years,

honestly the only thing freaky is kids have used glow in the dark spray paint in the tunnel so when you drive through it your light shine on it and then when you turns ur lights off the paint "glows"

and all of a sudden you hear and see a train going over the tunnel then a few seconds later you see one coming from the opposite direction you think they will hit each other but there are more than one track.

ok so i moved to the area almost a year ago and have been told about this supposed hells gate in Brazil. so on tuesday night of this past week two of my buddies and i went to according to the map would be gate 2. while we were there we could here water dropping from the roof and some glow in the dark paint on the walls. other than that nothing at all creepy. we arrived there around 4 a.m. maybe we were to late idk. anyways we are planning to spend more time on our next visit possibly even just sitting in the tunnel on some chairs.
