We don't know when and if we are going to make another road trip to somewhere, but if we do we need to know of some good places to go. The trip might not happen until next year, so don't expect this to happen real soon. Your choice will be more likely choosen if:
1. The town you choose and the towns around it have a number of haunted places. (We don't want to travel 300 miles to check out one cemetery) 2. The stories behind the haunted places sound interesting. 3. You or someone you know has a story of something that has happened while at one or more of the haunted places. 4. The closer it is to Northwest Indiana (We are not going to California to investigate) 5. You give donation to The Force ;D
This place doesn't have to be in Indiana, but it is preferable. I was looking at a place like Fort Wayne, but that doesn't mean we are going there. It seems like an interesting place. So if you have ever been to Fort Wayne and have any stories, we would love to hear them.

The Ravina Farm has now become the Ravina Woods in an area north of Paragon, Indiana and is open to the public as a new section of the Morgan-Monroe Forestry! No permission required to enter! The place is interesting and as far as I know, no serious ghosthunting has ever taken place there. There are a lot of stories about the old farm, even before the house and barn burned down in the early 70's. This could be our chance, as a group, to be the first to actually record or take pictures at a location. Think about it!?

Few places of note around where I grew up:
Sunset Hill - Cloverdale, IN On the edge of town there is a big hill and you can see a house on top of it if you look from the right place in town. Its boarded up now, or it was last time I was there. If you manage to get inside the walls are all stained blood red in various spots. Eerie feeling even getting close to the house, there is a road to it even but you have to know where it is. If not, you have to jump over barb wire and a ditch.
Also hear stories about the Cloverdale Cemetery, but I know people who hang out there at night and they have said nothing strange about it.
Cemetery in Cunot, IN (near Cataract Lake) Located at the end of a populated road where you would never guess a cemetery to be. The grass on one particular grave never grows right, and is said to spell out words although I couldn't make anything out the 3 or 4 times I went.
Bloody Seven - Cataract, IN (probably a local legend) Several Barn houses near Cataract are called this, I forget this story, and I have yet to actually go there but might be worth it, who knows but I will mention it anyways.
Greencastle Cemetary - Greencastle, IN This is the one with the "Catacombs," I cannot for the life of me remember the name SEVERAL underground burial chambers located here, closed off to public access VERY spooky here at night, one grave it is said if you put rings or money on it it disappears or is moved/turned over. Even heard one story of a ghost sighting after doing so, a man was seein walking into the woods and soon after you could hear a woman crying and then silence.
Four Arches - close to Greencastle, IN If you havent heard the stories of Goat Man...let me regale you: It is said that if you drive by this huge bridge a being with a goat head and a mans body might jump out in front of you. Never happened to me but I've heard certain stories...I'll let you see for yourself.
If this interests you, I know of more places in the area...this is all pretty close to the Edna Collings bridge

I think you should investigate Francis slocum cemetary in Peru. Don't know if it is haunted. we went there this week-end. a couple of us thought we heard screams in the woods surounding it. could be worth a look.

Ok so this probably wouldn't qualify as a roadtrip but you can go around there at night and see if you hear, feel, or see anything. The hous is on Old Porter Road in Portage (no it's not the one you listed before about the woman in the window, contact me for the address). I lived in the house when I was little and my family actually moved because of all of the problems that arose from living there. We moved in shortly after my uncle killed himself in the garage, the owner before that a few years back had died in the upstairs living room of a heart attack. We took over the contract (we were renting it) and agreed to finish the work he had been doing on the house for the new owner. The house has a bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen downstairs. The upstairs has 3 bedrooms (one used to be a kitchen), a living room, bathroom and a huge storage closet. The house is quite large and has a beautiful but weird front entry way. You enter from the bottom level and it has stairs up to the top. Anyway we had numerous strange and scary events occour while living there. My aunt wouldn't come visit us because she said that by the time her husband James had killed himself that he just hadn't been the same person, not since living there. My family just figured it was all of her grief and we continued living there. Shortly after moving in my dad began to act strange, he was always angry and had an unnatural obsession with the garage. He would only sleep in the upstairs living room and constanlty complained of a man named Tim being in the house. We would wake up at night to him screaming at this man and chasing him out of the house. (we never knew who Tim was or saw him and as far as I know there was no previous resident by that name). Other things would happen too. Laundry baskets you would take upstairs would be back down by the time you got back downstairs. Food would fall to the floor from the middle of the table (just like fly off), voices called from other rooms, foot steps coming down the stairs. At some point my dad decided he didn't like being in the house at night and switched to working midnights at work. Strange things continued to happen and my brother started refusing to sleep in his room downstairs because he said he saw a lady sitting on the cabinets outside of his room looking at him. My mom told us years later that she would often find us sitting in rooms talking to no one at all and that when she would inquire who we were speaking to we would yell that she scared our friends away. I have vague memories of these people that I would talk to at the house but I've never been able to place a name with them or what we talked about if anything. The most common one we saw was a woman in a beautiful dress who always seemed to be putting in earring when we saw her. Meanwhile my dad wanted nearly nothing to do with the house and refused to be there at night. He spent nearly all day in the garage and yelled at us if we would come in when the door was closed. Finally it all came to head one night when my dad suddenly attacked my mom choking her and screaming about how Tim had told him about what they were up to. I tried to call the police but my dad ripped the phone out of the wall and knocked me across the living room. My mom ran in and grabbed me and we left to pick up my brother at school (my sister was at my grandparents whom also now refused to visit us at the house). We lived at a hotel and my grandparents for about a week. I will never forget the day we went back to the house. My dad hadn't been to work in a week and looked like he really hadn't slept since then either. His eyes were blood red and he was sooo pale. He was just sitting at a table smoking a cigarette the calmest I had seen him in months. He just kind of looked up and said "we need to get out of here". The landlord agreed to break our contract and him and his wife moved into the house. They also owned a house next door that had been abandoned some time back and was delapidating. Years later when we saw them she complained that he was obsessed with the house next door and that they too had some problems in the house. My dad won't bring up anything about that house and when we do he changes the subject. I don't know what happened there but I still refuse to go back there. My brother, sister, and I talk about it sometimes. We are all adults now and its kind of strange for us. The house has gone under many renovations and many parts of it don't look the same. But the man that lives there is the same man that took over after we left and he kinda looks scary himself (think oatmeal man meets scary guy from the polterguist movie). I swear all of this story is true and have many family members that would back me up. Unfortunatley my mom passed away a few years back but she always blamed the things my dad did during that time on the house. If you have any further questions feel free to email me at spayne201@hotmail.com. I may also be able to look up a few photos to help show you the layout of the house.

Do I have a place for you. For the record, I would love to give a nice donation to the force just to go back there. I am 42 (not a kid) and friends of mine and myself went to Fort Wayne a couple of years ago for the weekend to "investigate" a few places. My husband owns his own business and the paper of the places that we went to are filed away under "Michelle's ghost trip" (my husbands little joke) so I can't tell you off hand the names of the places that we went. I however can tell you that we had a lot of things that happened to us. One of which was a lady (they say was a witch) lived on a hill and the local kids burned her house down with her in it because she was a witch. Story has it that it is still under investigation. They never found the kids that did it. We found that house on the hill and heard breathing in the woods that led to the house. There was also a cemetery on the way to the house that things happen at. Although nothing happened to us there. There is also a park that a little girl was killed on a swing. Story has it that she was twirling her swing and when she went to spin the other way to untwine the chain her head got caught and she choked to death. They say at night if you swing on the swing you will be pushed off. I will tell you, we never made it there. Reason being, the only way to get to this park is through a neighborhood (sub-division). We drove and drove and drove. We kept going in circles. I will tell you that every time we ended up in the same place. Instead of going right...I would start making lefts so i could not end up in the same place.....but.....we did!!! We all just looked at each other saying...NO WAY. There was no way you can possibly do that!!! Anyway, we tried one more time (this was going to be our last time, we all agreed) Now mind you, at this time it was about 1am. We start from the beginning of the sub division again, turn on the streets we are supposed to and all of a sudden see a woman walking we look at each other thinking, kind of late to be walking. She stopped and was staring at us. So, we stopped. With no hesitation she walked right up to my car. My friend rolled down the window and asked how to get to this park. The woman stared at her, slowly turned and said go straight down this road. Which mind you we drove down a million times and did not run into it. We said thank you and drove away. She stood there staring at us and then.......disappeared. She was right. we got to the end of the street and there it was. We all looked at each other saying ....no way... between the woman, and driving down this road several times and all of a sudden there it was. We decided to skip it. The next night, early evening we went to a local pizza place to eat and map out where we were going. While there the waitress over heard us talking and asked what we were doing so we told her. She said hang on. She went in the back and got her husband out of the kitchen who sat down with us telling us about a cemetery that we had to go to. When you drive into this place he said keep going to the right and you will run into a part of the cemetery called "Baby land". It is where infants and children are buried. We spent the whole night there as it was huge. We went throughout the cemetery first. Then left to buy some water as we for some reason were all really really thirsty. While at Walgreen's (right down the hill ) I saw a digital recorder so i bought it. When we went back we hit baby land. We walked around reading the grave stones. (this is where we got the most action) Nothing happen when we were there but when we got back to the hotel sitting on the bed watching the video recorder that we had we heard something. To the point that everyone screamed and jumped away from me, who was holding the recorder. We kept playing it over and over then I remembered that i had bought the digital recorder and was holding it the whole time we were reading the grave stones out load. So, I ran out to my car and grabbed it. We listened to it and at one point you hear one of the girls (my daughter ) reading a grave stone and almost at the end of her reading it you hear a noise that gets loader and loader which sounds like a baby sucking a pacifier or bottle when my daughter is done reading you hear my daughter say "she lived for a day" and the sucking sound stops and then you hear....Y E A H in a little kids whispered voice. I still have this recording and we still listen to it. We were so fixated on that, that we didn't realize there were more sounds on the recorder till a couple of weeks later of listening over and over. I would love for you to hear this. It is really awesome.

I've been to Jehl park at midnight. we sat on the swings for 1/2 an hour but didnt come up with anything. Babyland is in Lindenwood cemetery which is gated off at night. the place with the witches house is called devil's hollow. Let me know if you ever investigate the fort wayne area again.
