We have never been there, but we suppose that the area would be fairly haunted. The park you are talking about is probably the battleground memorial park. you can probably search on the internet and find out more about it. since it is a park it probably does close at night, which kind of takes most of the fun out of going there. if you ever go there, let us know how it goes and if it's worth checking out.

yes, the indiana ghost hunters have been out there and have pics on their site some where. just type indiana ghost hunters in a search. i do believe they had permission from the officer that patrols battle ground to be in there after hours. if you want to get to it take that exit(st. rd 43 exit) and go right onto 43, at the stop light by the police post/mc d's turn right. follow untill you come to the stop sign at the T intersection, turn left. you pass by prophet's rock at the bottom of the hill, and at the top of the other hill you'll pass the sewage treatment plant. then you'll finally hit a stop. the road you'll be getting on is north 9th/rail road road. turn right, and you'll pretty much see the visitor's building and wallah. you can also get there by traveling north on 9th street from lafayette. plus, you can go to prophet's rock anytime, do so and snag pics, host off of places like photobucket and post here ;D

Prophet's Rock is not technically part of the Battlefield or Battlefield museum. It's a seperate memorial located some half mile southwest of the western edge of the battlefield.
Prophet's Rock is the location in which Lowawluwaysica, the Prophet, brother of Tecumseh, spoke and sang to the Native Americans to bolster their courage before the Battle of Tippecanoe (November 7, 1811).
Prophet's Rock is located on Prophet's Rock Road, near the town of Battleground. It is a privately owned memorial and is heavily patrolled by the police. I don't recommend visiting at night unless you have specific written permission and you've notified the authorities prior to your visit.
Prophetstown is a completely different entity from Prophet's Rock. It is a living history village, much like Conner Prarie in Indianapolis, located outside of Battleground, dedicated to preserving the historical remains and ways of life. I don't recommend ghost hunting here at all without permission. It would be extremely disrespectful, and if you get caught you would go right to jail since it's a national historic renovation and preservation site.

i'm originally from the area and have been told many things about the battleground. most of the actual battle took place off of the grounds the park is on. i've been there many times at night to witness nothing unordinary. the IGT went there on the anniversery of the battle which i'm told is the only time anything is ever supposed to happen. it's been said that the first born son of all that are born there around the area are cursed to never leave.
and also another rumor is that some have found the trails in the woods seem to lead you in a endless cycle. only experienced this once but managed to finally leave. i think i was just lazy and didn't realize how far we had gone in the woods.
and yes the state post is pretty nearby, and there is one patrol car in battleground at all times where the speed limit drops from like 50 to 30 pretty drastically.
