The Gates are numbered in the order that I found them. There is still some doubt as to whether there are six or seven of them because I have pictures of seven but then I only mapped six so it's possible one the pictures is just the opposite side of one. I don't remember. Maybe someday I'll go back and look again. Directions to Gate One: From Brazil, go North on 59 from W. National Ave. (US40) just over four miles to find W 1350 N. It goes East first then 185 feet later it goes West. Go West (turn Left) If you cross a bridge over RR tracks, you'll see a sign pointing out Carbon to your Right. You've gone too far. Follow W 1350 N for 3 3/4 miles and it'll turn North, then West, then North again. Welcome to Gate One. [gone too far directions: Go on to W 1500 N (Coal Bluff Rd) and turn Left. You are now in Spooklight Hill Territory the first road you pass will be CR 8. You will see a DEAD END sign on your right. If you want, follow that road and look for the Spooklight. It's a dead end, like the sign says, so turn around and come back to Coal Bluff road. The Spooklight may also be found on Coal Bluff Rd. itself (accounts vary) so keep your eyes open. Just follow Coal Bluff Rd. Ignore the fork (stay left) in about 2.5 miles it will turn south (Left) and then west (right) again. When it T's go South (Left) and now you're on Rock Run Church Rd. Follow this road south and you will find Gate 2. Keep going south and RRC road will T at W 1350 N. Now you can turn West (Right) and follow the road to Gate One.] Directions to Gate Two: From Gate One: Turn around go back the way you came. The road ziz-zags back Left Right Left then after it finally decides on East in exactly one mile you will find Rock Run Church Road going to your Left (North) turn here and go about half a mile. From 59: Turn Left on W1350N (go West). In 2 3/4 miles instead of passing Rock Run Church Road as to go to Gate One, Turn Right (North) and go about half a mile. Welcome to Gate Two: The rest will be posted on the IGH Forum

The inghosthunters forum was shut down months ago. That's the main reason I'm here, once it shut down this was basically the only other option.

Indeed, that forum had loads of directions and people who were willing to help you find wherever you want to go. The only person who can usually help you with directions here is Scott.

If anyone is still interested in this, find a local Brazil resident. A friend of mine moved to Brazil while I was in high school, and after living down there for a little bit he took me to what the local high school kids considered these gates. What I saw had 4 arches as part of one structure, and the arches didn't really serve a purpose for traffic, as it was in a remote area, although you could drive through one of the center arches. Also, there was an "X" in the tracks, and I can't remember if the tracks interstected ontop of these arches or not, but there was more than a simple bridge structure, I'm thinking the tracks either intersected on this structure, or the structure was at least an off balance X configuration. The area was sandy or just dirt, it was not a paved road. It was not near anything really. I will have to call him up and get details, but I'm sure these pictures aren't what the local kids were going to. It was a creepy place, and I don't know if it is wind or what, but there were times when you'd be certain a train was close or even passing overhead, and you'd come out and nothing was there. There is also a cemetary near Brazil with a creepy feature. There is a really old tombstone with a face carved in it I think? I don't remember if it was a face or what, but if you check out the tombstone during the day, it is solid marble, but at night, the eyes or whatever give off a green or blue glow, that can be seen clear from the road. If you get all the way up to the tombstone you cant see the glow, and it doesn't do it all the time either. You can look all around, there is nothing that can be reflecting causing this, and the same area glows no matter which angle you look at it. The last time I was there was before the graveyards had any solar LED lights. I am super skeptical of anything supernatural, and I have never really witnessed anything that I couldnt talk myself into an explanation over, or just shrug off, but this was just crazy, You really can't find anything to explain this. The local kids back in the late 90s all pretty much knew about this place, so I'm sure lots of people know where this is at. If you've been to a bunch of places looking for something beyond explanation, and have been let down, find out about this place. It will renew your drive to seek things like this out for awhile. I rode around with friends for years who liked to check out creepy places, and this is the only one that gave me the slightest sense that something out of the ordinary was going on.
