On second thought...don't visit this site..it seemed hard to load and messed with my computer. I'll give you the directions as I have them. Go south on 135 through bargersville. Turn west on division road past a sign that says "union elementaary school". Follow division it eventually turns into a twisting narrow road. Follow it until it comes to a "T" and take a left. You will come to Podock(podunk)&Dillman. The real podunk is 20 miles south of that. It gives warnings about some of the other sites people think are Podunk. The locals there are reported to be dangerous and talks about some devil worshipping. From my search, it looks like the real Podunk is closer to being a town called Chetwynd. Chetwynd IS on mapquest. From what I gather, Podunk must be somewhere North, northeast of Chetwynd. I cannot find a Podunk Indiana but that site says it is an old town. It seems a bit confusing, but all the landmarks mentioned do show up on the map...Happy hunting!

I know this topic is over a year old and dead as can be, but I just had to offer a little unique insight into this particular area in the maps/sat shots above. Podunk is just a generic term used by people to say the middle of nowhere, just like BFE, etc. The haunted area that has been sought after for a few generations is the one down by brown county state park. The story about this area pictured above is quite funny to me. I grew up less than a mile north of that area. When I was young, we used to get to that area via a trail in the woods. We didn't have cars (too young), so we would take our dirtbikes, mopeds etc thru the woods to this very secluded field, where we would start a campfire, and get drunk, and kinda have our own little parties without worrying about the law or nosy neighbors. One night there were some kids in a car (there was NEVER a single car travelling this road, it goes nowhere necessary). We thought it would be fun to run to the edge of the field, still back a few rows in the corn so we wouldnt be seen, and throw corn at their car. Needless to say they all screamed and hit the gas. The next weekend, and every weekend after that, there were more and more cars full of kids driving slow down this road only the farmers would use, so we started coming up with creative ways of scaring the u kno what out of them. There is a section of the road that is tunnelled by trees, we would get on either side of the road and shake he trees as the car drove thru, we would hang things in the trees by rope then drop them infront of their cars, etc. It became a game to us, as we didn't understand what these people were doing out there. There were never any dead animals or evil things going on, as we would have known about it. These were mostly kids from center grove/franklin/etc that we didnt know, that area was technically considered martinsville. 10 years later I met my future wife, who went to center grove, we were out driving the back roads one night and she stopped me, and said "TURN HERE!" really excitedly, so I did and she knew all these crazy turns out in the middle of nowhere, which amazed me, then we ended up at this place, and she called it Podunk, and explained to me how all this haunted stuff went down here, and people came back scared to death. I had never taken the roads there, just by the trails thru the woods, so i didn't know it til I saw it, and I couldnt control my laughter. I very well may have something to do with (as well as about 10 of my friends) this place being considered "haunted", and I don't want anyone wasting their time really, as there are a couple houses down there now right after you hit the gravel. There is a rotted out old 1 room church on the right side of the road from the 1930s (dont check it out, it had a basement!, and once you fall thru you'd better have a couple people to help you out), and the other beaten down structures are tagged by teenagers, not evil people, i assure you. Nobody's going to shoot you, but it does not surprise me that kids have been arrested down there. When we stopped going down there the average was over 20 cars a night.
