Posey Chapel and Cemetery- In the 1850’s, a church burned down here. When you enter the grounds you will see the tree a preacher hanged himself from. At night the festivities the church held are played out for you by the spirit of the congregation. People have heard singing and guitar playing. Orbs are always captured on photographs and seen by the naked eye. There is a report of red eyes glowing and a red light moving through the woods nearby. Glowing eyes make me think of entities at work. Maybe the spiritualism of the congregation provided fuel for one or perhaps some type of black magic or witchcraft was practiced here.

Thanks. I checked the aerial of it - it does look creepy. I will definitely be going there and will report back with some photos.

when you are looking for it out there, take it slow on those roads. lots of wildlife and horse riding stables are out in that area.
They say this place is supposed to be wicked with activity, I've experienced 0% there. Make sure in pictures you brace your camera against something sturdy and what not because there are a ton of things that can get mistaken for orbs and what not out there.
fun fact: Posey Chapel or Lamb's Chapel has the highest elevation point in La Porte county

Is this near the location where Oprah had her farm in Rolling Prairie?

actually, it isn't to far away. My girlfriend lives on 850 E..which is about 5 miles or so down 1000 N from Posey chapel, and I'm pretty sure Oprah's old ranch was close to her house...i think within 2 miles from her even. But ya, good ol' Harpo was out there
