awhile back, probly 4 years ago, i was taken by a friend out to this old overgrown farm house in valpo and she told me this story about a man who killed his family an d put their heads on the fenceposts... is this the same place that's mentioned in the stories as the haunted house off 50west and is next to a cemetary? cos i didnt notice the dogs since it was rather dark and rainybut we did see the no tresspassing signs... by the way i thought it was pretty creepy, but then again abandoned farms always look creepy in the rain at night
anyoen else have any thoughts about this site? and how do i get to it from route 30 in merrillville (say from the sams club by the mall)?

Ya thats the same house as the one that's listed. It's actually on 125 W. just off 700 N. We've been there a couple of times but we didn't see any heads on the fence posts. We heard the dogs, they barked non-stop from the time we got there. And the yard is filled with no tresspassing signs.
If your coming from merrillville I would say go down 30 till 149. Take 149 north till 6. Take 6 east till meridian. Take meridian south for about 1 mile and turn east on 700 N. Then go down 700 N til 125 W. Turn south on 125 W. Then go down 125 W for about a mile and the road will make a 90 degree turn. That is where the house is right at the turn. You will see all of the no tresspassing signs. I tried to get a map but the map couldn't find it.
If you go there you probably won't see anything but a fence. But if you do see some heads let us know.

Actually we never got to the fence with the heads because its well guarded with dogs. Alot of people also think its the house thats all boarded up and has the no trespassing all over it but its not the acutal haunted house is still being lived in by people, its at the very end of the drive way. If you do go there and make it to the house I'd love to hear what you saw, everyone that I know has never made it to the house(alive that is).
