Hey everybody!! I am new to ghost hunting and i love it!!! it is the coolest thing in the world to do. me, my wife and a friend of ours went to Batson Cemetery on the 4th to get some pics and record the sounds. man, did we ever get some cool pics. we got an orb that was long and narrow and had a aura that was orange. no cars came by and no lights were able to be seen from any houses if there are any around there. i didn't see any houses coming into the area so that rules that part out. it was about 11:00 at night, with no wind and it was about 70 something. a very nice night. no fog. plus we got 2 other orbs there that were very wierd looking. i'll try to post some pics later when i have more time.

Where is Batson Cemetery located? I believe I've been there before, but I'm just curious to see if anyone knows where its located.
Thanks, DF

Google earth shows one batson cemetery, in New Castle,IN. Take 38 east outside of new castle about 3-4 miles. Take a right on 500E, and it 1/2 mile on the left. It looks like there maybe a church there? and the driveway looks very long about 1/4 mile (according to google earth). If you head out there, be sure to let us know what you find.

There is another smaller, older cemetary in New Castle. It is north on 103, and left on 300. It is either on that road or you have to take a right on 100 at the split. It is one the left and has an archway entrance. There was reputedly an open pit meant for a grave in the back. There are houses right across the street from it so exploring is kind of iffy. Have you ever checked out the closed down asylum on 103? As with the cemetary, it seems like someone would have to drop you off or hike to it from the back way. I know a person that went to the asylum and they said they couldn't get close to it because the strange noises coming from it scared them away. I don't know if that is true or bunk but it certainly looks dreadful. Also, near New Castle...crybaby bridge. We went out there and i whispered to my step-son "let's act like we heard something" and before we could play it out, we heard mumbled groaning type noises and something else I can't describe. It is alright to park on the newly built bridge and get out for a bit, but be quiet or that d**n dog next door will start barking. Happy hunting!

So you say there is an open grave at this cemetery in new castle? do you have a name for the cemetery? what about a name for the asylum? I want to checkout both of these spots, but I'd like to do a little research before I drive an hour each direction.

do you have directions to the asylum? 103 looks rather long just to drive up and down looking for a building.

The asylum is not a big building, more like a compound and when it was showed to me, it looked more like an old highway dept. of transportation site. It is north of New Castle on 103 about 4 miles. It is not marked as that but it has one main brick building and a few smaller ones and even one off aways that looks like an old fashioned "hot box". The cemetary is real small, and old, and I will have to drive by and read the name over the archway for that. I know it has not been used for many many years. If you go in the daytime, i don't think anyone would mind you checking it out but after dark they would probably call the law. I was thinking there was the name "Liberty" in it but i can't be certain

Would the cemetery be called Livezey Cemetery? If it is, it looks like there maybe 4-5 houses around the cemetery.

Livesay, yep...that could be it. Did it show it was just west of 103 north of New Castle, on maybe 300 or 100?(they split right there and I can't remember which one it is on) I will run out there this evening and check it out and give you specifics. I will also run by that asylum and see where exactly it is.
