I don't want to sound negative, but how do these legends get started? Has anyone actually seen anything that is reported to the 'haunted' places? I've been browsing the Indiana section, and visited two areas that are supposedly haunted, and they are Primrose Road in South Bend, and Troll Bridge in Bremen, and my friends and I did not experience anything in either place. I believe in the paranormal, but I'm starting to have second thoughts. I couldn't get to Little Egypt cemetary because 5th Road was flooded after Troll Bridge. But unfortunately, no one got disturbed despite what the warning message said for Troll Bridge. Enlighten me The_P_Man

The way I see it is that people have experiences that they believe can't be explained and they snow ball into these odd stories and legends. These stories and legends are perpetuated by a large amount of psychological noise from zealous spiritualists who aren't willing or able to be objective in the matter. This is what happens when you take a decently large amount of people with some kind of emotional or psychological bias. I'm not a believer in the paranormal, however, if anyone wants to bring more recognition and respect the the study of such, I would suggest a very large dose of healthy skepticism. Although, many the supernatural enthusiast is indeed a skeptic, the community as a whole (If I could call it that), often fail in such respects.
In short, the legends get started because people want to believe, and they live on because people don't want them to die.
