Out of the places we have visited which do you think is worth checking out again. If we would go to Bachelors Grove the visit would take place during the daytime for obvious reasons. Here www.angelfire.com/theforce/haunted/pastinvestigations.htm is a list of the places we have been. [glow=blue,12,300]T-Bone[/glow]

The directions to Spooklight Hill are incorrect!! No wonder you didn't see anything, it's almost impossible not to. Go north on 59 but turn left on Coal Bluff Rd. That's the same road you just went the wrong way. The car should face east and you'll be able to see a light in either direction. Park at the top of the last hill you'll have to turn around. Be patient it is worth it!

Thanks for the directions. Sometimes its hard to find some places with the directions we have. A lot of people have told us spook light hill is pretty good.

As for Spooklight Hill; You are saying that it is on W1500N (Coal Bluff Rd.) Correct? and not on Cr.8 which dead ends shortly after intersecting with Coal Bluff. Both have an abundance of hills and get very dark at night. My wife's cousin freaked out when we went to what I thought was Spooklight Hill (CR. 8) and said something was chasing the car (I think she's FOS though) check out these pics and see which one is correct. There is another site nobody ever mentioned called Rule Cemetery containing the legend of "Alicia's Grave". It seems to have all but dissappeared from the internet but I got this discription from a discontinued IGT page cached on Google: [glow=red,2,300] I have done research lately on Alicia's Grave. This is a place in Clay County in Rule Cemetery. The story is that Alicia was a witch or a daughter of a witch and she haunts her grave. I have known people to go out there and report a red light come out of her grave and people have claimed that they've seen a white figure running out of the woods. I have never seen anything, but I have only been there twice. The saying on the stone is what scares me. There is a last name- Huffman- But no dates and no first name. The saying is " Remember me as you pass by- As you are now so once was I- As I am now you soon will be- Prepare for death and follow me. I took some pictures, but they're not developed yet. Hopefully something where turn out. I talked to the caretaker that has lived by the cemetery for 70 some years and he thinks the whole thing is a joke, but I know people who are scared to ever go back there because of things they saw. I also checked death records, but I could not find an Alicia Huffman. I am going to the genealogy club next Sat, though and I hope they will be able to help. They have records and articles of just about every person buried anywhere in Clay Co. -emily- [/glow] It seems worth a look and at least a photograph of the Huffman grave. If you're interested I can give you precise directions and pinpoint it on Google Earth (or Terra Server) for you.
