The 4 Portage hauntings are all places that are haunted but you have the stories wrong. I have lived in the city my whole life and had been to many of these places.
The one involving old porter rd. This is true. I used to work in Chesterton and that was the fastest way to downtown. I drove back and forth every night for 2 years and I saw the dog. it ran across the road infront of my truck. it was about the size of a deer with a small canine head with large teeth and glowing eyes. it scared me and i slammed on the brakes and it ran over the railroad tracks.
the wolf mansion- there is someone who lives there, his name is dr neyhart. he is a chiropractor and runs his business out of his home. they get a lot of creepers around there at night so they dont go to the door for anyone. there are tunnels under the house that go up to a field, that is now covered by the new imax. it was a stop on the underground railroad and is a documented historical place. there was an old woman who killed herself in there after her husband died. she hung herself in the bell tower at the top. ive heard you can see her up there. however i have never encountered this. dr neyhart told me about the tunnels while my mom was a patient of his.
stage coach road, which is actually in ogden dunes, is one of those cheesey places you go in high school. supposidly some kids were killed in a car crash there when they veered off into the dunes. We were always told that you need to go down to the bottom of the last his and turn off your car and put it in nuetral and the kids will push you up the hill. you can put flour on your car and you can see the hand prints. i havent done this myself, but alot of my schoolmates did, with mixed results.
crisman school, which i think you mean old crisman school, since there has been a new elementary school named crisman, burned down in a very very large fire. www.nwi.com/articles/2004/01/29/news/porter_county/dd3be460daf115ec86256e2a000a4678.txt It was the old garyton highschool. its a very creepy feeling around there but i havent heard anything about a haunting. the land is now owned by an illinois resident
