I live near valparaiso, and me and my friends are looking for a good scare and possibly some ghost sightings. I've looked through the website and there are so many. Where do you think is the best spot to in northwest indiana to go?
Thanks

Well i guess it depends on what your looking for, like cemetarys,houses,ect...
I would say that the best cemetary based on the activity we got would be the gypsys cemetary in crown point. Although the stuff that was suppose to happen there didn't, we just got a good picture of a ghost.
Another spot good spot to go is moodys light in rennselear, right by st.joes. I've been there twice and you do see a light but im unsure its a ghost light but thats my opinion, its only about 40 mins away from valpo so its worth it. Also if you do go to moodys light theres a super haunted place right by it at st.joes, its called drexel hall. Its right by the walmart there and its surrounded by trees, its off limits to people so you'll have to sneak in well thats what im planning on doing sometime.
Some people have told me that the dog face bridge in san pierre is really scary/haunted. I've never been there but i am planning on going in the future.
Now this next place isn't in indiana but its really close to valpo and has hundreds of ghost sightings and odd things occuring. Its called bachelors grove cemetary. We went there awhile back and didn't have any luck but maybe thats cuz we didn't go on a full moon.
Well those would be my picks to go to. Maybe Tbone will reply with his.

I think I have been to that dog face bridge. Theres another bridge called Cry Baby Bridge in San Pierre. I'm not sure if thats the same bridge. Cry baby bridge is on a long country road that dead ends into this rickety bridge that has been closed off for quite some time. A long time ago, some lady was crossing this bridge with her infant child and she tripped and the baby fell over into the water and drown. And ever since then she is supposedly walking around searching for her lost child. I have been there a few times and I haven't seen anything, but I have never taken a camera. One time we went out there, my friends new car died so who knows, maybe something weird is going on out there.
Theres another place in kingsbury. Its an abandon boot camp. Its government property so theres an added risk, but we've had no problems. Its a huge building, comparable to some schools in size. But there are guard towers and padded rooms with blood all over the walls. Again I haven't taken a camera but even if this place isn't haunted its definitely a good scare. To this day I haven't searched the entire camp, but there are plenty of souveneirs on the walls and rooms of old shirts. ITs definitely worth a look if you have time.

I'm not sure if it's the same bridge either but it sounds pretty cool. I've never heard anything about that boot camp but it sounds like a great place to go check out. My favorite places to check out in NW Indiana are: 1. Devil's Bridge You probaly won't see much but it still looks pretty cool with all the griffiti and no one really knows if there are bodies there.
2. Moody's Light Anytime during a clear night you will be able to see. What it's coming from no one really knows.
3. Gypsies Cemetery We got what is probaly are best picture there. The story behind the cemetery is pretty cool as well.
The worst places in NW Indiana are: 1. Primrose Road It's nothing more than a road. It's stupid.
2. Ghost Road Another road that doesn't look haunted and isn't.
Hope this helps. If you ever go check out a haunted place we would love to hear your story and see the pictures.

Based on what my friend and I did a few weeks ago, any graveyard would give you some orbs. Some more than others I suppose. The picture with the most orbs was at a spot where a teenager crashed his car off the road and died not too long ago. That photo is packed with orbs... a ton. If you're looking for just scary, the places they listed seem great although I've never been to them. But as I said, you'll get orbs from any graveyard. I think I'm gonna try experimenting and take pictures from different places at night to see if orbs are just near 'haunted' places. My guess is that they aren't. If you are going to take pictures make sure you get a camera that takes good night pictures.... mine isn't soo good at night. Some fun advice: get some friends out to where you are taking your other friends and scare the nuts out of them Fun to do to girls lol. ps: According to my friend Matt, there are many 'Cry Baby Bridges' around. I think the whole 'Cry Baby Bridge' thing is fake. There's one in Anderson, one south of Indy off of Gem Road, and others that I don't know where they are. I doubt any of them will get you any results.

Gypsies Graveyard in Crown Point is an awesome place for pics of orbs... Hell, my friend swears that they were pushed while investigating.
Moody's Light sucks. if you also drive towards the light, you will notice that a tower is located in that direction, and a tree blocks it (the tree is very sparse). Thus, when the wind blows, the light "flickers". Since the distance is so far, the light can also refract - we go there at night - so it can appear orange due to the humidity in the air.
Although, moody's is a great place to go and drink!
