i read the investigation on reeder road and actually i got some really intereting pics from the place i think its worth checking out, i have pictures if you would like to see them since i dont know how to post them on here, just email me, i also have pictures of t abandoned mental institutions worth looking at.

REDER ROAD IS CRAP
some guys found some dead bodies there some 10-20 years ago tahts about it... there is a mysterous 'cove' if u will that i named death cove because nothing grows on either side of the path and the trees that are grown grow over it its really wierd. we took some pictures and found some orbs nothing too special though

hey yeah I am wondering how long reeder road is, and also I have been told it is like way over grown and that you can't drive down it, and it is differcult to walk down it.. so how is it?

Reder Road takes probably about an hour or so to walk, I don't think you can drive down it.. enless maybe you have a huge truck.. or 4 wheeler.. but there are houses near by.. so I wouldn't. Maybe ride a bike? lol. I know someone that had found the graveyard.. yet it has eluded me. It's supposed to be right off the path somewhere.. yet I don't have any idea where it could be. I don't think Reder Road is anything special, but if you live close, I guess it could be fun. Be warned though, near this time there are usually cops blocking off the entrance.. you might still have a week or two, but Halloween week it's totally blocked off. && if it's ur first time, I would suggest you stay close to the path, I once strayed and ended up in Merrillville && got a ride back to my SUV from a black, blunt smokin dude. It was an adventure, just not the kind we were lookin for that night. LOL. Ohhh && sometimes locals or even the people living near, will try to f**k with you, or write nuts on ur car.. so be careful.. you are in the middle of a not so good part of Griffith/Merrillville/almost Gary. it is actually Griffith/Schererville area. Not really anywhere near Gary. Theres a huge police presence there because a Griffith Dectective lives in the farm house at the end of the road. The Griffith Police and all the other municipal vehicles fuel there cars right across from the entrance from Reder Rd. As for it not being a good part of Griffith??? Got me there It's an industrial park full of trucking compamies and a few older houses. When I delivered pizzas about 6 or so years ago while in college, I went down that street hundreds of times nothing there. The old abandoned road is actually part of Oak Ridge Prarie. So other than maybe the ghosts getting you or getting harrassed by the police, you are not gonna get robbed, raped or murdered there.

Well considering the fact that I infact nearly did get raped out there (if it wasn't for my boyfriend at the time) I don't trust the area. Oh yeah and the fact that my ex boyfriend lived literally 5 minutes away, I know the area. I've been there probably about 100 times. I only live about 30 minutes away, so it's almost always one of the spots I check out when I'm over there. Oh yeah and the fact that I've had close personal friends have stuff happen to them when I wasn't there. (bein harassed by people, gettin their car f**ked up, AND MINE GOT f**kED UP) so, I'm speakin from personal experiance, don't jump down I disagree just caz nothings ever happened to you. I lived in the area for about 8 years, & visited ever since I moved. && The surrounding areas.. have been more than known to not be so great, that's where I get my weed at (tha best I'm sure u kno since u live out there) && Those lovely highschoolers from Chesterton area get their coke, needless to say it has a lot of drug activity and quite a bit of gang activity, since you know the area "Oh so well" why don't you go down some of those back roads at night && get out and walk a little. It's not that safe, especially if ur alone or a girl, && for me && my experiances I had a group of people with me. So, w/e u wanna think is fine, but I seem to know the area just as well, if not more so than you.

Wow thats so wierd. All this stuff has happend to you and your friends, but yet not one police report? I've lived in Griffith for 25 years, family always on the local police here, I even work for the county, and wouldn't you know not one police report of anything going on out there. And as for the Porter County people, I know where they get their coke from and it's not from out there. And everyone knows the good weed is in Hobart. As for you almost getting raped... No police report? So the guy can not be arrested so he can rape others?  There hasn't been a rape in Griffith for many years. |

yeah I know the area ain't to good.. but I am a fair sized guy so I know how to fend for myself if it comes to.. and I always have friends on investigations with me.. but thanks for the help.

Dude, I really don't give a flying f**k if you believe me or not.. b/c I know what the hell happened.. and so do all my friends.. wht am I gonna do "Excuse me mr officer.. this guy.. that I don't know.. tried to attack me.. I don't know where he went.. and don't really know what he looks like." && I'm not gonna run to tha cops b/c the put some car paint on my SUV. I know about 45 people that get their nuts out there.. and maybe.. hun.. you should pick up a newspaper.. read the crime times.. I don't care how long you've been there. If you think you live in a perfect lil piece of Indiana than you prolly won't see any of the nuts...

I'm not moody. I get pissed off when people try to tell me what's up, when I've been out there and lived near there.. I'm actually a really nice person.. it's just alll the posts that guy has posted are mean, and trying to tell everyone on here that they're wrong.
